"Midnight Play" by Lisa Marie Perry...
"Love evens the score
As general manager of the Las Vegas Slayers, Danica Blue goes toe-to-toe with players whose size is matched only by their egos. Quarterback Dex Harper is the biggest and toughest of them all, with a hell-raiser reputation that he insists he doesn't deserve. And Danica, the good daughter who's always played by the rules, is suddenly tempted to break every last one.
Football is the only thing Dex has ever been able to count on. To save his career he needs Danica's PR savvy, and he's happy to help her discover her inner bad girl in return. But glimpsing the real woman behind that sexy, flawless facade is making him realize how much is at stake. Because getting back on the team could mean losing Danica, unless he's willing to risk it all—and play for keeps."
What I enjoyed about "Midnight Play" was all of it.  The story starts out with the general manager of the Las Vegas Slayers, Danica Blue having to fired the quarterback Dex Harper who seemed to be a quite a real 'hell-raiser,  but later finds that there is something that leads her to want to help him with his football career. This is where this author shows  her magic by letting it happen and in doing so ...well I don't want to spoil it so ...this is where I say you must pick up "Midnight Play" to see how this will all come out.  I loved how this author brings it  out that it wasn't just Dex that needed help because as you read you will soon discover that Danica needed  some help too with her personal life.  What  high stakes will there be for Danica and Dex having to face will really be something to read about especially coming mainly from Danica's parents.  With this being a interracial couple will this work for them?  I loved how this author's  presentation of this read that will definitely  keep your interest and attention turning the pages until the end.  I found "Midnight Play" a contemporary romance that was well written and enjoyable that I would recommend it to all of those romantic readers.
