My Thoughts....

I really enjoyed reading this second book of 'Hell in Heels' by these two authors which featured Angelica [Rock Singer] and Maverick [Manny]. How these two were brought together...'a self proclaimed Queen Bitch and a dominate Manny' [OCD Therapist/Bodyguard] was really one steamy hot story that will keep you turning the pages. Will this Manny be able to help Angelica by watching over her ever step of the way after she comes out of rehab? Will they b able to help each other in this emotional difference that is between them?

Be really for a lots of drama with {omg} craziness and secrets as these two come together giving the readers a delightful as well as a entertaining story. These author really put together quite a read which showed their magic of what it is truly like on a 'road to recovery' as it was for Angelica. In the end the reader will get it all on Angelica background in what really made her tick and will the help of Maverick helping make her the best that she will be especially now that it seems like she has someone else who has come back into her life. Now, to truly understand all that has gone on I would suggest you read book one, two and the last book 3 to fully understand the whole series from the 'A Sex. Drugs and Rock Romance.'

My Thoughts....

These two author come together and gives the reader truly another well written plot that dealt with Abigail, Vic and Clayton...yes its a threesome. It is a very intriguing read in how these three make it in this relationship with all that is presented in this read. Be prepared for lots of a loving romance, drama, suspense, anger, tragedy and definitely some hot sex scenes that will keep your attention with some twist and turns that will keep you turning the pages to see what is coming next. I found the characters fantastic and well portrayed which help give the readers a solid story that one gets to understand their interaction they had among each other.

These two author come together and gives the reader truly one well written read. You will find so many emotions that will simply take one over the edge. Yes you will find Avery being a wild girl and a boy [Greyson] who has loved her since the age of five. What will happen as they finally come together as adults and realize there is more for them? Be ready for lost of surprises that will keep popping up that will keep you turning the pages until the end. This is truly one of those stories that you will not be able to judge the book by the cover until you have read it all to see what all is there. Would I recommend? YES!

If you like a good urban fiction written by one good author you have come to the right place to get it. For Ms.Starr 'In Love With a Hood Rich Nigga' gives it to you. You will find it a well written read with a little bit of it all from drama, lies, twist, turns, secrets, kidnapping,deceit, selfishness and I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find much more that will keep you turning the pages to see what will happen next. The characters were off the chain where you will find craziness all over the place. You will definitely be left wanting more of this story in the part two read.

This was a interesting paranormal romance read that had some very interesting characters from Mendesa, Skot, Man, Sha'Lae, Leonie and Ms. Aurora to name a few from the story that will keep you turning the pages. There will be quite a few unanswered questions and secrets with twist and turns that were left from this novel that hopefully we will get in the next part two of this read. Be ready for a insane story that will leave you wanting more.

My Thoughts..

This was another amazingly good read by this author. You will be able to tell this will be another series that will keep you turning the pages to see what is up between Volt and Taylor. There are a few other characters that will keep your attention that helps give this story a well developed plot. I can't wait to see what will happen when Taylor finds out about her two best friends. I will leave it at that and just say "Charge' ends with a cliffhanger so we will have to pick up the next series...'Spark' to find out more about this delicious story.

"Isaiah's Daughter"(Prophets and Kings #1) by Mesu Andrews

My Thoughts....

What a read that was of a young woman who had been the prophet of Isaiah's home and captures the heart of the future King Hezekiah. Even though this was a fictional read in part this author did a wonderful job through Ishma's eyes one is made to see and understand the experience of life that happened in 732 BC Judah.

I enjoyed how well this author was able to give the reader quite a research on biblical and historical facts for this read. The reader will definite get a well written overall story that will keep you turning the pages to see what's coming next. I loved the characters from Isaiah, Aya, Hezekiah, Ishma and her friend Yaira.

This story will definitely be one of many emotions that will keep you turning the pages to see what you will find such as many scriptural quotes, a marriage [between Zibah & Hezi] that wasn't easy all the time, and with many Biblical characters that made this read seem to come alive. Indeed this was a good story of Hephzibah and Hezekiah when 'their faith failed them but then rejoiced with them when God rewarded them for their faithfulness.'

This author really brings to life this beautiful enjoyable read that give the readers a good tale of life in the Biblical times.

My Thoughts....

This was a interesting read with Eve trying to find herself...being with the right person with a lots of drama issues that seemed to keep her so very unhappy. Then here comes Ben who seems to come in and out of Eves life. I liked how he seemed to have a order in his life where as Eve seemed to be all over the place with her many crazy issues. I found this story that went back and forth making we wonder would they ever come together and stay together? I found the title of this story really fitted the story as you will see how this author brings this all out for the reader. It was of great interest as the author brings in the subject of 9/11 so uniquely into this story. By the end of the read the reader will get a story of 'two unlikely people who finally find each other. Now, to know more you will have to pick up this good read and see how well this author brings it all out to the readers.

What will happen when these twins switch their rolls? Well for Sophia and identical twin Giovanna it was really read that will keep you turning the pages to see how this story will turn out as one twin will beg the other sister to pretend to do a modeling shoot for her. In the end what will happen when it all comes out as the football player Zephirin Black finds out what has really gone on in this plot between these two sisters that definitely involved him. Will these two Sophia and Zephirin be able to get past all of the problems and they get their HEA? Well, you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers copy of this book from NetGalley. and would recommend it as a good read.

My Thoughts...

The story continues on from "That Church Life" story where it seems like for Missy Natalia and Michelle friendship will really be tested. There will be so many twist and turns that you will have to keep up with it all from uncovered secrets, lies, envy, hypocrites, jealousy and drama that will keep you shaking your head. I am not sure who I felt more sorrier for in this friendship through this journey of transformation. I loved the friendship that Michelle and Natalia seemed to have. It was quite interesting seeing how Olivia [Missy long lost mother] was able to work her web that would only damage all who was around her. Will Missy ever get a grip on her life as she become the upcoming Pastor of the church? Well. there will be more to this story as it seems toward the end more secrets still seem to be coming out about 'PASTOR HENRY CEPHEUS JONES.' Now what could that be? To find out you will have to pick up this good read and see how well this author presents it to the readers. And yes another cliffhanger so I guess we will have to find out in the next series to see what will happen next in this Christian story.

My Thoughts....

This was a good read about the Church life of three good friends known as 'the Church Gal Crew.' For Missy who was a minister, Natalia was a flight attendant and then their was Michelle well let's just say she was one with lots of secrets about her life. Now, we don't want to leave out the Pastor who had so many secrets and skeletons of his own. Now, when all of these characters come together be ready for secrets that will come out, along with murder and scandal that will really shake up the 'Church life's of these characters. What will happen when the skeletons and secrets all start coming out? Well, I will say the ending will definitely leave the reader with a cliffhanger where you will have to pick up the next series "That Church Life # 2" to get the next part of this intriguing Christian story.

What a beautiful story! I loved how this author brings this story all together. Not only was their happiness of Chloe and Michael but several other characters where you will just have to pick up this excellent read and see for yourself who they are. This was definitely one of those reads that was so sweet and romantic! Loved it!

My Thoughts....

This was rather a sad, heartbreaking and emotional story but it was definitely one that was needed to be told to fully understanding what had happened to Chloe's sister. After reading this short story one could truly understand why Chloe had chosen her career due to the fact of how she had lost her sister Justine. This author as always has given the readers such a well written story with such interesting characters and story line that will keep you turning the pages till the end. This was definitely a good prequel read of 'the events that had led up to The Chloe Daniel's series.'

"Burnt Orange" by Meiah Shaun

My Thoughts.....

I found "Burnt Orange" quite a interesting incredible read that focus on twin girls [fraternal]...Erika and Erin living in Orange, Texas in the 1990's. This coming of age read takes the reader into a emotional read as these twins suffered a type of abuse like no other coming mainly coming from their father. The author takes the story from early childhood, teenagers and on through young womanhood.

It was interesting see their girls grow and mature to womanhood as you continue to read. I love the fact that they had a grandmother around them when they really need her due to that father. I wondered a lot about the father and why he was the way he was in this story and at the end I was able to maybe understand why he had been the way he was toward his children due to what the twins had done. However, it still was no reason for the way he had treated them...especially Erin. Now, I don't want to spoil it for you the reader so you will have to pick up this story that is 'well written novel, detailed, and engaging and see for yourself. It was quite interesting seeing Erin and Erika growing up and even overcoming some of their many difficult s they had endured during their childhood. One thing that was for sure their mother had instilled some wonderful 'Christian' values that had grounded them in their adulthood. Truly forgiveness is a powerful thing! This was a really emotional, powerful journey that Erika and Erin had endured and in the end...well again you will have to pick up this read to see how this author bring it all comes out so well to the reader. Would I recommend? YES!

"The Fist That Bound Me" by Trinity Dekane

My Thoughts...

What a well written story with so much sadness and emotional pain that dealt with such domestic abusive violence that happened to these girls [Jade, Corrina, Telissa & Dee] that many have gone through. How they made it through it was really a horrible story. I still wish Jade would have told her mother on just what was going on with her father. But oh well this happens and naturally Jade would end up with someone like Greg who used 'his badge for all the wrong reasons.' However, thank God Malcolm comes into the picture and to learn the rest of the story you will have to pick up this phenomenal good read to see who well this author brings out this journey all out to the reader. I found this story a very realistic one and that ending was really something!

I love what the author also presents to the readers concerning this subject matter at the end of the read. Would I recommend this novel? YES!

Two Contemporary Stories Celebrate The Hope of Christmas:

Christmas in Gold

What a story that had me in tears...What will happen when a older woman [Astrid] falls and breaks her ankle. Then her family wants to put her in an assistant living facility. Wow, what a family! You will just have to pick this one up to see how it will all come out as she meets a Physical Therapist named Carly.

Then next we have....

Christmas in Blue

This was such a wonderful contemporary heartwarming story of 'love, loss and the beauty of family and friends.' What will happen as a mysterious stranger [Gabe] appears in town to help Angela. How will this take a turn and instead of dread there will be 'joy and tenderness in Angela's heart' for this holiday.

Both of these stories are well written and will contain a message that is only for the reader to receive. I found these stories tender, so endearing and hopefully one hearts will be lifted for this Christmas holiday season from the read. I was left to be reminded to be 'thankful and never take anything for granted.'
